Disclosure: Fabric makes one of the products compared here. Fabric is scored against the same checklist as the other tools. Competitor claims link to vendor-owned product, integration, security or pricing pages. Where a vendor page does not state a feature, this article says so rather than assuming the feature is absent.
Quick answer
On a ten-factor India-ready checklist, Fabric scores 77.5/100, ahead of InCruiter (60) and HirePro (55). Fabric suits high-volume teams that need live AI interviews in Hindi and regional Indian languages, ordinary phone-call interviews and Indian ATS connections. InCruiter is worth evaluating if you want AI interviews alongside human interview panels and a phone-screening agent; HirePro for campus and enterprise hiring with strong identity and fraud checks; iMocha for technical assessment depth; and UnoJobs for a low published per-interview price. The right choice depends on your workflow, candidate access, integrations and security review, not a single score.
The score is a publisher-created comparison, not an independent certification or customer rating. The weights and scoring rules are shown below so you can re-weight them for your hiring priorities.

Scored from each vendor's own pages on 19 October 2026; Fabric from its confirmed product facts and live pages. A 0 means the vendor's pages do not state the feature, not that it cannot exist. Partial marks are half the factor's points.
What makes AI interview software India-ready?
An India-ready tool has to fit how candidates actually apply and how recruiters actually work. That means checking more than whether a vendor uses AI. Use the ten factors below to shortlist tools for your own roles.
1. Indian languages and accents (15 points). Check whether the interview itself can be conducted in Hindi or regional languages, not merely whether the interface is translated. Ask how Indian English and regional accents are evaluated.
2. Phone and mobile access (10 points). A candidate should not need a laptop for every role. An ordinary phone call, with no app or camera, is different from a browser interview that still requires data and a device.
3. Live, two-way AI interview (10 points). A live interviewer can ask relevant follow-ups. A one-way video prompt asks candidates to record answers for later review; these formats serve different needs.
4. Volume and campus (10 points). Look for a stated concurrent-interview figure or concrete campus-drive workflows, bulk invites and scheduling. Ask the vendor to demonstrate your peak load, not just quote a broad scalability claim.
5. Cheating, proxy and deepfake checks (10 points). Separate identity verification from signals of AI assistance, second screens and deepfakes. A vendor may offer one without the others. Confirm what is detected, what evidence recruiters see and whether a human reviews flags.
6. Indian ATS and job boards (10 points). The checklist gives 2.5 points each for Naukri, Darwinbox, Keka and Zoho Recruit when the integration appears on the vendor’s own pages. Ask for a live write-back demonstration; a logo alone may not prove the workflow you need.
7. DPDP and India hosting (10 points). Check the vendor’s stated data locations, security attestations, consent process, retention and deletion controls, and contractual terms under the Digital Personal Data Protection framework. Hosting location and compliance are related but distinct questions.
8. Pricing in rupees (10 points). A published per-interview or per-assessment INR price earns full marks. A public price in another currency, or a per-seat or plan price, earns partial marks. A sales quote earns zero on this factor, even when it may still be the right commercial fit.
9. Technical and non-technical roles (10 points). For engineering, test live coding or code execution. For sales and support, test role-plays and business conversations. Do not assume a generic interview product assesses both well.
10. Evidence for human review (5 points). Recruiters should be able to inspect the recording, transcript and scorecard rationale. A score without evidence is difficult to challenge or calibrate.
How the tools were scored
The checklist totals 100 points. It was built from the factors that recur when AI answer engines are asked which AI interview software to use in India, and from the hiring problems Indian teams describe. Each competitor is scored only from its vendor’s own pages, read on 19 October 2026; Fabric is scored from its confirmed product facts and live pages. A partial match earns exactly half the factor’s points. A feature that is not stated earns no points; that does not prove the vendor cannot provide it.
| Factor | Points | Full marks | Partial marks (points) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Indian languages | 15 | Interview in Hindi + 4 or more named regional languages | Hindi (and English) only, Hindi in beta, or languages limited to tests (7.5) |
| Phone and mobile | 10 | Ordinary phone call and mobile browser | Mobile app or browser only, or phone call only (5) |
| Live two-way | 10 | Real-time follow-up questions | Recorded answers scored by AI (5) |
| Volume and campus | 10 | 500+ stated concurrent interviews, or campus-drive features with bulk invites | Bulk invites only (5) |
| Integrity checks | 10 | Identity/proxy, AI-copilot/second-screen and deepfake checks | Two of the three, or proctoring only (5) |
| Indian ATS and job boards | 10 | 2.5 points each: Naukri, Darwinbox, Keka, Zoho Recruit on the vendor's own list | Points per listed integration (2.5 each) |
| DPDP and India hosting | 10 | India hosting, explicit DPDP statement, SOC 2 or ISO 27001 | Two of those three (5) |
| Pricing in INR | 10 | Published per-interview or per-assessment INR price | Public price in another currency, or a per-seat or plan price (5) |
| Technical and non-technical | 10 | Live coding plus non-tech role-plays or business conversations | One of the two (5) |
| Evidence for review | 5 | Recording, transcript and scorecard with reasons | Two of the three (2.5) |
Anything not stated on the vendor's own pages scores 0. Indian ATS and job boards score 2.5 per named integration.
Fabric’s 77.5/100 breaks down as 15 for Indian languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati and Punjabi, plus Indian English), 10 for phone and mobile access, 10 for live interviews, 10 for volume and campus (up to 500 interviews at once), 5 for integrity checks (Fabric flags AI assistance and second screens but does not offer identity or proxy checks), 7.5 for Indian ATS and job boards (Darwinbox, Keka and Zoho Recruit are on its public integrations page; Naukri is not), 5 for DPDP and hosting (DPDP, SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001:2022 are confirmed; the hosting location is not published), 0 for INR pricing (pricing is dynamic and quoted), 10 for technical and non-technical roles, and 5 for evidence for review.
Because Fabric wrote this comparison, treat the score as a transparent rubric, not independent validation. Re-weight the factors for your own hiring mix, and check the vendor pages linked under each tool; they change often.
1. Fabric: best for high-volume hiring with phone and live interviews
Best for: teams that need to interview applicants at scale, including candidates who are easier to reach on a phone call. Origin: India-native. Use-case group: volume and campus hiring.
Fabric conducts live, two-way AI interviews with follow-up questions, by video or over an ordinary phone call. Candidates can call in or Fabric can dial them, and the phone interview needs no app or camera. Applicants who clear the phone screen move on to the full AI interview. Interviews can run in Hindi and eight regional languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati and Punjabi), in English with an Indian accent, and in other English accents and several international languages.
Fabric runs up to 500 interviews at once, around the clock. For campus hiring, it coordinates with placement cells, screens student resumes in bulk and books interview slots; see how it ran a campus drive at IIM. Its integrations page lists Darwinbox, Keka and Zoho Recruit among other ATS and HR systems. Fabric also confirms a Naukri connection that is not on the public integrations page, so it earns no points here; ask for that workflow to be demonstrated.
For technical roles, Fabric runs coding interviews, online assessments and live pair programming; for non-technical roles, it runs sales simulations with live objections, support conversations and other role-plays. Reports include the recording, transcript and scorecard, and can be shared. Fabric checks 20+ cheating signals, including AI assistance and second screens, but does not offer identity or proxy checks. Fabric is SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001:2022 and DPDP compliant, with documents in its Trust Vault; candidate data is secured and managed by Fabric.
Pricing: dynamic, and it scales with your hiring volume and requirements; there is no public per-interview INR rate. Ask for a quote at your actual monthly volume.
Score: 77.5/100. Points lost on integrity checks (5/10), Indian ATS and job boards (7.5/10), DPDP and India hosting (5/10), and pricing in INR (0/10).
Choose Fabric if phone reach, regional languages, live follow-ups and volume are central to your hiring. Before committing, test your own roles and confirm your required ATS write-back and data terms.

2. InCruiter: best for AI interviews plus human interview panels
Best for: employers that want AI-led screening, an AI phone-screening agent and the option of human-led technical or specialist interviews. Origin: India-native. Use-case group: interview panels and campus.
InCruiter’s AI interview page describes IncBot asking role-specific questions and triggering follow-ups after each answer, although some of its own product blurbs still call IncBot a one-way video interview platform; ask to see the live format. A separate agent, IncScreen, auto-dials candidates for phone screening and names Hindi among its languages. The AI interview page itself names no languages.
For campus drives, InCruiter describes bulk assessment invites to thousands of candidates and drives across 50+ campuses at once. Its integrity features cover video impersonation, proxy interviews, AI assistance and deepfakes such as face-swaps and AI-generated voice. Darwinbox appears as a logo in its ATS integration strip; Naukri, Keka and Zoho Recruit are not listed. The site states SOC 2 and ISO 27001 but no DPDP statement or India hosting.
Pricing: the pricing page lists plan prices in rupees (for example a Pro plan with 100 interview credits plus GST) but no per-interview price for the AI interview. Reports include a transcript, skill scores, strengths, weaknesses and a recommendation, with the session recording.
Score: 60/100. Points lost on Indian languages (7.5/15), phone and mobile (5/10), Indian ATS and job boards (2.5/10), DPDP and India hosting (0/10), pricing in INR (5/10), and technical and non-technical (5/10).
Choose InCruiter if human interviewers remain an important part of your process and you want to coordinate them with AI screening and phone calls.

3. HirePro: best for campus and assessment-led enterprise hiring
Best for: large employers running campus drives and structured hiring workflows. Origin: India-native. Use-case group: campus and volume.
HirePro’s AI Recruiter page describes an avatar that listens, paraphrases and asks deeper follow-up questions, and says it interviews thousands simultaneously. Its college-hiring workflow adds candidates in bulk through APIs, resume parsing or spreadsheet uploads. It covers technical and non-technical roles, scoring code correctness inside the interview, and reports include the transcript, audio and video recording and the reasoning behind each rating.
HirePro has the strongest integrity description in this comparison: deepfakes, virtual cameras, recorded feeds and stand-ins are detected in real time, identity is verified against a government ID, and on-screen tools are flagged. Its information security page names an India AWS region, alignment with the DPDP Act, 2023 and ISO 27001:2022 certification; its privacy policy is less specific on both, so confirm the terms in your contract.
What to check: the AI Recruiter page names no interview languages, no specific ATS and no price, and HirePro’s candidate help pages advise against mobile devices. Ask for a written list of integrations, the interview languages available and a test on the devices your candidates use.
Score: 55/100. Points lost on Indian languages (0/15), phone and mobile (0/10), Indian ATS and job boards (0/10), and pricing in INR (0/10).
Choose HirePro if campus workflows, fraud controls and an enterprise hiring funnel matter more than phone interviews or regional-language coverage.

4. Eklavvya: best for assessment-led interviews in regional languages
Best for: organisations that need campus workflows, assessments and AI-assisted evaluation in more than one Indian language. Origin: India-native. Use-case group: campus and assessment.
Eklavvya’s AI interview page names Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu, one regional language short of the full-marks bar. Questions can be fixed or dynamic, but dynamic means questions vary per candidate; real-time AI follow-ups are not stated. It serves campus placement and enterprise hiring, and admins can assign interviews by batch.
Integrity features include face-recognition identity checks, multi-face and device detection, and detection of ChatGPT or Gemini use; deepfake detection is not stated. Darwinbox and Keka appear in an integrations tile group on its coding-test page. Eklavvya states India hosting and ISO 27001 certification, but no DPDP compliance claim. Reports include per-skill ratings, a transcript and video playback, and the product evaluates coding logic.
What to check: the product page says the interview can be taken on a phone, while its help article recommends a laptop or desktop. Pricing for AI interviews is on request (Enterprise only).
Score: 52.5/100. Points lost on Indian languages (7.5/15), phone and mobile (5/10), live two-way (5/10), integrity checks (5/10), Indian ATS and job boards (5/10), DPDP and India hosting (5/10), pricing in INR (0/10), and technical and non-technical (5/10).
Choose Eklavvya if assessment-led hiring in named Indian languages is your main need and its proctoring matches your policy.

5. Interviewer.AI: best for conversational video screening
Best for: teams that want AI-led video screening and a conversational avatar option. Origin: global. Use-case group: video screening.
Interviewer.AI’s avatar interview adapts to candidate responses and asks follow-ups in real time; asynchronous video interviews are also offered. Candidates complete interviews in a browser on any phone, tablet or computer; ordinary phone-call interviews are not stated. Hindi is listed in its help centre as a candidate response language in beta, and the pricing page lists an English-Indian AI interviewer.
Integrity features include ID verification, tab-switch and lip-sync detection, voice checks and AI-generated answer detection. Its integrations page lists Darwinbox and Keka. The privacy policy offers optional India data residency and states ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, but makes no explicit DPDP compliance statement. Reports include the recording, transcript and written rationale.
Pricing: published in US dollars, at US$199 per month for 50 credits (Essential) and US$399 per month for 120 credits (Professional). One credit covers an asynchronous video interview and report; a conversational AI interview uses two. The pricing page and help centre disagree on which plans include avatar interviews, so confirm in writing.
Score: 52.5/100. Points lost on Indian languages (7.5/15), phone and mobile (5/10), volume and campus (5/10), integrity checks (5/10), Indian ATS and job boards (5/10), DPDP and India hosting (5/10), pricing in INR (5/10), and technical and non-technical (0/10).
Choose Interviewer.AI if video-based screening and conversational avatars fit your candidate population and connectivity.

6. iMocha: best for technical skills assessment
Best for: teams that need skill tests and structured technical evaluation alongside interviews. Origin: India-founded with international operations. Use-case group: technical hiring.
iMocha’s Tara is a conversational AI interviewer for technical, functional and communication-focused roles. Its help centre lists 30 interview languages; Hindi is the only Indian language and carries a beta tag, with custom questions disabled for beta languages. Coding is handled by separate iMocha products rather than inside Tara. Reports include a transcript, an English translation and a summary.
iMocha’s campus material describes bulk interview scheduling and large-scale graduate screening, though its help pages tie bulk scheduling to panel interviews rather than Tara. Tara runs in a lockdown browser on Windows or macOS; mobile and phone-call interviews are not stated. Darwinbox and Zoho Recruit appear in its partner directory. iMocha states SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022, with its primary data centre in Virginia, USA, and no DPDP statement.
Pricing: quote-led for Tara and any skills assessments; no public INR rate.
Score: 45/100. Points lost on Indian languages (7.5/15), phone and mobile (0/10), integrity checks (5/10), Indian ATS and job boards (5/10), DPDP and India hosting (0/10), pricing in INR (0/10), technical and non-technical (5/10), and evidence for review (2.5/5).
Choose iMocha if technical assessment depth is the priority and your candidates can take the interview on a laptop.

7. UnoJobs: best for SMBs that want an ATS and interviews together
Best for: small and mid-sized teams that want a hiring pipeline, candidate database and AI interview in one platform. Origin: India-native. Use-case group: ATS plus interviews.
UnoJobs publishes the clearest rupee price in this comparison: ₹500 per AI interview, flat at any volume, with no monthly seat licences. Its employer pages say AI interviews support English, Hindi and eight regional Indian languages, without naming them. Candidates record answers on camera from their phone; real-time follow-ups and phone-call interviews are not stated. Its pages give the interview length as 20 minutes in some places and 10 in others.
UnoJobs includes a browser-based coding environment for tech roles, scorecards with strengths, weaknesses and a recommendation, and replayable results. Cheating detection covers tab-switching and multiple faces. Indian ATS products appear on its site only as comparisons, not integrations, and its privacy policy gives no hosting location or DPDP statement.
Score: 45/100. Points lost on Indian languages (7.5/15), phone and mobile (5/10), live two-way (5/10), volume and campus (5/10), integrity checks (5/10), Indian ATS and job boards (0/10), DPDP and India hosting (0/10), technical and non-technical (5/10), and evidence for review (2.5/5).
Choose UnoJobs if you want an all-in-one ATS-style workflow and simple pay-per-use interviews; verify GST and what each interview includes.

8. Talview Ivy: best for enterprise interviews with strong proctoring
Best for: enterprises that want adaptive AI interviewing within a wider assessment, verification and proctoring ecosystem. Origin: global with India operations. Use-case group: enterprise and proctoring.
Talview describes Ivy as an AI interviewer that evaluates responses in real time, asks contextual follow-ups and handles thousands of interviews simultaneously. Its integrity coverage is broad: liveness and ID checks, gaze shifts that suggest off-screen help, AI-generated responses and deepfake indicators. Candidates can complete the interview on web or mobile. Talview’s separate telephone screening is a recruiter-initiated call, not an Ivy phone interview.
The Ivy page describes multilingual support without naming languages, and its integration list does not include Naukri, Darwinbox, Keka or Zoho Recruit. Talview states SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001, and says data may be processed in the USA, the EU or India, but makes no DPDP statement. Coding sits in a separate product. Reports include transcripts and scoring metrics.
Pricing: unit-based, through a sales form, with a minimum of roughly 150 to 200 candidates; no public price.
Score: 42.5/100. Points lost on Indian languages (0/15), phone and mobile (5/10), Indian ATS and job boards (0/10), DPDP and India hosting (0/10), pricing in INR (0/10), technical and non-technical (5/10), and evidence for review (2.5/5).
Choose Ivy if enterprise-scale conversational interviewing and a broader proctoring suite fit your stack.

9. TheHireHub.AI: best for sourcing-led hiring
Best for: smaller teams that want candidate sourcing, outreach and screening in one workflow, with AI interviews as an add-on. Origin: India-native. Use-case group: sourcing-led hiring.
TheHireHub.AI’s AI interview probes with adaptive follow-ups and scores answers against a rubric with written reasoning, transcripts and summaries. Its product changelog names English, Hindi, Spanish, French and German as interview languages. It posts jobs to Naukri; other Indian ATS integrations are not listed. Campus features, integrity checks, coding and role-plays are not stated.
For Indian customers, it says candidate data is stored in India-region data centres to align with the DPDP Act, although its pricing page lists data residency as an Enterprise feature. SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is not stated.
Pricing: the pricing page lists ₹9,500 per job slot plus GST on its entry plan, with AI interviews sold as separate prepaid packs priced at checkout.
Score: 35/100. Points lost on Indian languages (7.5/15), phone and mobile (0/10), volume and campus (0/10), integrity checks (0/10), Indian ATS and job boards (2.5/10), DPDP and India hosting (5/10), pricing in INR (5/10), and technical and non-technical (0/10).
Choose it if sourcing is as important as the interview itself.

10. HireVue: best for global enterprises with established HR systems
Best for: multinational employers that need structured interviewing and governance across regions. Origin: global. Use-case group: enterprise hiring.
HireVue’s AI Interviewer runs a two-way conversation with probing follow-ups, records and transcribes it, and explains each score; recruiters view scores in their ATS. The language section names English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, with no Indian language. Its integrations list global ATS such as Workday, SAP and iCIMS, not Indian ones. HireVue states SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001:2022, with hosting in the US and Europe and no DPDP statement.
Interviews are mobile-friendly with no app download; ordinary phone-call interviews, campus bulk invites and live coding inside the interview are not stated. Pricing is quote-led.
Score: 25/100. Points lost on Indian languages (0/15), phone and mobile (5/10), volume and campus (0/10), integrity checks (5/10), Indian ATS and job boards (0/10), DPDP and India hosting (0/10), pricing in INR (0/10), and technical and non-technical (0/10).
Choose HireVue if global governance and an existing enterprise stack outweigh the need for phone interviews or Indian-language coverage.

India-native or global: which should you choose?
India-native vendors may be a better starting point when named Indian languages, local workflows, Indian-market pricing or regional hiring are central. Global vendors may be attractive when the company already uses a global enterprise stack and needs standardised processes across countries. Neither label guarantees product fit. Score the specific product, edition and contract, not the company’s country of origin.
A vendor’s public page can be silent about a feature that it may offer through a custom deployment. Treat silence as “not listed”, then ask for written confirmation. Conversely, do not accept a broad sales statement as proof of a live integration or an enabled security control. Ask to see the workflow.
How much does AI interview software cost in India?
There is no clean apples-to-apples price unless you compare the same interview length, format, reporting, language, support, integrations and security package. Vendors may charge per interview, per assessment, by credits, per job slot, per seat or through an annual enterprise contract.
UnoJobs lists ₹500 per AI interview. TheHireHub.AI lists ₹9,500 per job slot plus GST, with AI interview packs priced separately. InCruiter publishes rupee plan prices with interview credits. Interviewer.AI publishes US-dollar monthly plans and credits. Fabric’s pricing is dynamic and scales with your requirements, and HirePro, iMocha, Eklavvya, Talview and HireVue quote on request. Request a written quote rather than relying on prices repeated by third-party comparison blogs.
Ask every vendor to quote the same scenario: expected monthly candidates, interview length, language mix, phone versus browser share, assessments, report access, integrations, data retention, implementation, support, GST and overage rates. Then calculate the effective cost per completed interview, not merely the headline credit price.
Eight things to test in a demo
- Call a test candidate’s phone in Hindi. Ask whether the candidate needs an app, camera or browser link.
- Interview a candidate with a strong regional accent. Read the score rationale and check whether the evaluation focuses on job-relevant communication rather than accent.
- Connect your ATS. Have the vendor show the candidate record and report written back to Darwinbox, Keka, Zoho Recruit or your actual system. Ask separately about Naukri.
- Ask where recordings and transcripts are stored. Review the data-processing agreement, consent flow, retention schedule and deletion process, and have your privacy team assess the DPDP obligations.
- Test integrity controls separately: AI-copilot use, second screens, deepfakes and identity or proxy verification are different checks. Ask what the tool detects, what it cannot detect and who reviews flags.
- Ask for the price at your monthly volume. Require INR, GST treatment, interview duration, failed-call policy, retries and overage rates.
- Launch a controlled batch of 200 invitations, or your realistic peak volume. Measure completion, drop-offs, retries and report turnaround.
- Read one report end to end. Can the recruiter hear or watch the interview, inspect the transcript, understand the score and challenge the recommendation?
Try the workflow with your own applicants
The shortlist is a starting point. The strongest demo is one using your actual role, candidate language, ATS and expected volume.
